Enjoyed shooting the video profile of the 1820 Settlers National Monument in Grahamstown, South Africa!
Grahamstown is a town on the East Coast of the country, known for its brilliant university “Rhodes” as well as for its annual Grahamstown National Arts Festival.
Located by the seaside in stunning Port Elizabeth, South Africa, the Humewood golf course is a genuine seaside Links, ranked as one of South Africa’s top 20 golf courses and boasts as holding the prestige of being the only true links course in Africa.
Sadly, I don’t play golf. But after shooting their video profile, I think I should definitely give it a bash!
Humewood golf course has one of the world’s most difficult links courses and has hosted the South African open 5 times and the African Amateur 10 times, being ranked the number 10 golf course in South Africa.
There have been some famous names which have graced the greens and fairways of this course, including Denis Watson, Tony Johnstone and Ernie Els amongst others. I especially liked their gorgeous clubhouse!
In the heart of a valley, only a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of P.E and Jeffreys Bay lies African Dawn Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary.
The park is home to several animals from South Africa and beyond including Cheetah, Servals, Lynx, Squirrels, Marmosets, Squirrel Monkeys, Blue and Common Duikers, Bushbok, Grysbok, Meerkats, Wallabies and a Crocodile.
For bird lovers, there are over 250 species of birds indigenous to South Africa and from further afield. Home to the largest aviary in the Eastern Cape, listen to the calls of birds such as the Knysna Loerie, the Laughing Dove and the vibrant Red Bishop. Other birds around the park include the majestic Black Eagle, Blue Cranes, Crowned Cranes, Hornbills, Emu, Lorikeets and Macaws. Visit their website here.
Shooting African Dawn Wildlife Sanctuary in Jeffrey’s Bay
What a pleasure to shoot Seaview Lion Park here in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. We arrived in the morning and the weather was perfect. The animals were friendly, and I especially loved the tigers. They were very passive and playful… very sociable creatures. Here’s the final video profile, enjoy!
