It is the end of winter and the dawning of spring. Birds are singing. Flowers are blooming. The leaves are budding out. And the village and country folk from all around the nearby shires gather in Sherwood Forest for a festive season. Musicians, bards, gypsies, merchants, artisans and chefs all gather under the protection of Robin of Loxley, known as the outlaw Robin Hood, to celebrate Spring, break bread, sing, dance, and give thanks for another rebirth of nature.
Sherwood Forest Faire is a privately-held company run by a small team with the support of hundreds of volunteers who share our vision: to create a beautiful, magical place that is consistent with our six core values:
Authenticity, Community, Escape, Quality, Family, Fun

Coming from Cape Town I’m used to my fair share of nightlife ………….. but Friar Tucks was something else altogether!
A classic nightclub in the heart of Grahamstown, South Africa, with a massive dance floor and 2 bars, you won’t be coming home until the early hours of the morning!
It’s been voted as South Africa’s number 1 nightclub.
I absolutely loved the vibe at this venue………. it was packed with students and everyone was having a great time!
I love the music – they often have popular DJs in for the night.
Listen to DJ Skullet’s mix from when he played there in August last year:

If you’re looking for a great evening hot spot in Port Elizabeth, The Music Kitchen is my personal recommendation! Known for their Wednesday nights all-you-can-eat ribs and prawns, this is one of the coolest spots I’ve been to in a while. And don’t just take my word for it – ask any local you meet. The Music Kitchen is on Facebook so if you like what you see, join their online family HERE. They’re also on Twitter, so follow them HERE. What’s great about this place is that they provide a platform for original artists to perform. If you’re a muso in the area of Port Elizabeth, you can apply to perform and you’ll join their wall of fame which features many famous names in the South African music industry. Here’s what we shot for them:
