It is the end of winter and the dawning of spring. Birds are singing. Flowers are blooming. The leaves are budding out. And the village and country folk from all around the nearby shires gather in Sherwood Forest for a festive season. Musicians, bards, gypsies, merchants, artisans and chefs all gather under the protection of Robin of Loxley, known as the outlaw Robin Hood, to celebrate Spring, break bread, sing, dance, and give thanks for another rebirth of nature.

Sherwood Forest Faire is a privately-held company run by a small team with the support of hundreds of volunteers who share our vision: to create a beautiful, magical place that is consistent with our six core values:

Authenticity, Community, Escape, Quality, Family, Fun

We shot at a stunning wine bar in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. It sits along the famous “Stanley Street” strip in Richmond Hill. They offer all sorts of wines and platters. Here is their video profile!

We shot this corporate video for the “Oh My Gosh!” Group launching in the UK. It was a pleasure doing business with them. We got some great crowd shots for the video as they were holding an event that evening, and we also got some nice interviews with prominent local faces. Enjoy!

One of Cape Town’s favourite night clubs, Tjing Tjing is a rooftop bar located just off Longstreet, Cape Town.

We got to shoot on an absolutely packed night!

It was pumping and the video came out exceptionally.

I love their colour scheme and ‘attic’ feel.

The owner is friendly and professional and I can really recommend hiring this place out as a venue for a birthday party, corporate function or business meeting.

It has a festive atmosphere and shooting their official video profile was a dream.

I enjoyed editing this and doing the voice over particularly because I enjoy the venue so much and I wanted to do Ilse Koekemoer (owner)  justice on her fabulous club!

I’m very blessed in that, through the shoots we do for Skybok, I get to travel to so many different places, meet so many different people and – best of all – see amazing things. I’m remembering now back to a place we filmed in Cape Town called Vovo Telo.

It’s a trendy little bar at the waterfront and they are really well-known for their coffees and pastries. I also love their pizzas and artisan breads. I’ve realised that the coffee culture truly has grown both here and internationally.

On the day we filmed their video profile, I just stuck to a peach iced tea. I love them and BOS is my new favourite make! How about you? Are you a coffee fiend?

For best viewing quality, make sure to set the viewing settings to 1080p HD by clicking on the cog at the bottom right-hand corner of the video.

Shooting the video profile of this divine coffee shop and restaurant – just off Longstreet in Cape Town, South Africa – was a pleasure!

It shares the same owner as Tjing Tjing rooftop bar, which is located above it.

I can personally recommend their cappuccinos!

An all-day brasserie, pantry and event space, this is really a nice place to host a function you’re having.

Breakfasts, lunches and afternoon nibbles are what you can expect to find here.

I love the upstairs function areas – very chic and quirky.

The Rotary Medieval Festival

Skybok covered events for Rotary PE West as part of their “Medieval Festival”. It’s a whole weekend of festivities themed around the Middle Ages and it’s hosted at Victoria Park in Port Elizabeth. Their “Royal Banquet” is on a Friday night where everyone arrives dressed up in costumes from the Middle Ages. There’s a dinner and lots of entertainment! During the Saturday, they host an entire day filled with arts, crafts and activities that people used to play during Medieval times.

Here are the profiles of this awesome outdoor two-day event:
