This is Cape Town’s tourist gem, and it’s at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. It’s called “The Two Oceans Aquarium“. We had a great time filming it and we shot on a day when there was a school outing, which lent itself well to some lovely shots of the school tours. Enjoy their video profile and if you’re coming to South Africa any time soon, check out their website.
Yokhuselo Haven for Abused Women exists to offer women and their children a safe haven from family violence. Located at 12 Prospect Hill in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, their Crisis Centre has helped thousands of abused women over the pat 25 years.
We filmed this video profile for them in honour of the 25 year anniversay. It’s slightly more unusual than other profiles we’ve done as it features interviews with the abused and with the volunteers.
We also captured some prominent faces in the local Algoa Bay community saying a few words of thanks and congrats to the haven for all the work they’ve done over the past 25 years.
It was very moving filming & editing it. I hope that this video will help raise their profile in South Africa, as well as awareness that abuse is a real issue in the region. And that – thanks to them – there’s somewhere to turn for those suffering from it. Thank you Yokhuselo for all the good work you do!
Located along Victoria Road in trendy Camps Bay, Cape Town, lies perhaps one of the most famous beach bars in the city. “Café Caprice” is a stunning spot along the beachfront if you want a drink or meal with friends and colleagues.
Caprice has become a landmark establishment on the famous Camps Bay Stretch in Cape Town – a great venue to host any function you have in mind.
(Be warned, Sunday nights get very busy!) Tourists from around the globe rub shoulders with the regular local clientele, all enjoying the gorgeous beach backdrop whilst sipping on eye-catching cocktails and listening to sexy, chilled beats spun by the resident DJ’s as the sun goes down.
The ultimate beach bar and café on Cape Town’s famous Camps Bay stretch, it’s home to a cosmopolitan crowd of locals and internationals 7 days a week.
We were thrilled to shoot their video profile, and filmed it on a very festive, sunny Summer afternoon. Enjoy!
Cape Town in South Africa is bursting with coffee shops & restaurants all over its vibrant city. One brand that is particularly popular in large shopping malls such as Canal Walk, Cavendish & the Da Luz Mall in Seapoint along the beach, is “Osumo“.
Osumo is a small chain of healthy food cafes in cape town. We are a happy, energetic team, dedicated to providing natural, fresh foods that truly support a balanced lifestyle.
We had a lot of fun shooting their video profiles and found all the staff and management teams to be friendly, fun & professional!
We filmed their stores in all 3 malls and can personally recommend their strawberry bliss smoothies, which we drank a lot of while shooting! :)
I personally love the sea. I love places near the water, and when they offer light meals and drinks to go with the view, I know I’ve struck gold!
“Die Walskipper” is a lovely beach bar & restaurant situated along the coast in South Africa’s Jeffrey’s Bay.
The restaurant is situated on Clapton’s Beach between Jeffreys Bay and Aston Bay where “locals” and visitors can enjoy a mouth-watering array of seafood together with other South African dishes cooked to perfection on the coals.
It’s also a great place to have as a venue for special occasions such as weddings, office functions, birthday parties, club gatherings or any group event for which catering can be pre-arranged according to your special needs.
Grahamstown is certainly a town in South Africa well-known for its nightlife. It’s been called a ‘student village’ as it houses the popular Rhodes University, so it’s no wonder there are countless bars, pubs and nightclubs to keep its young learners entertained!
We shot many bars, pubs & nightclubs while there, one of them being “Prime” at 63 New Street.
Prime offers the latest upmarket and trendy nightclub experience in Grahamstown. Previously known as Equilibrium (Est. 1999) and comprehensively revamped in Feb 2012, Prime has been providing the best in local, national and international talents to Grahamstown and the Eastern Cape for the past decade.
We had a lot of fun shooting this, and it’s definitely got us wanting to go back to Grahamstown soon!
I’m very blessed in that, through the shoots we do for Skybok, I get to travel to so many different places, meet so many different people and – best of all – see amazing things. I’m remembering now back to a place we filmed in Cape Town called Vovo Telo.
It’s a trendy little bar at the waterfront and they are really well-known for their coffees and pastries. I also love their pizzas and artisan breads. I’ve realised that the coffee culture truly has grown both here and internationally.
On the day we filmed their video profile, I just stuck to a peach iced tea. I love them and BOS is my new favourite make! How about you? Are you a coffee fiend?
For best viewing quality, make sure to set the viewing settings to 1080p HD by clicking on the cog at the bottom right-hand corner of the video.
Algoa FM is the the biggest commercial radio station from the Garden Route to the Wild Coast on 94 to 97fm.
I love the place. It’s chic & fresh and it felt rejuvenating to walk through the station filming.
We got to meet one of their most popular DJs, Lance Du Plessis, and what a fantastic guy! Easy-going and professional, he does a great job on air and has a successful reputation and a big following here in the Bay.
Everything went very smoothly on the day…. we got Lance doing his show and also some really nice shots around the station.
We didn’t get to shoot their boardroom as there was a meeting there on the day, but you can check out my blog post HERE for some snaps of it as well as some snaps I took around the station while we shot.
In my opinion everyone working there is fun-loving and hard-working.
I love the position of the station….The Boardwalk here in PE….it’a a very beautiful complex right on the beachfront. It must be a fantastic place to go to work every day! They also have a very cool website – check it out by clicking HERE.
