Located in the gorgeous neighbourhood of Park Drive in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, The Ron Belling Art Gallery is an absolute must for locals and tourists.
It houses a permanent exhibition of the late artist’s outstanding aviation and marine works. The gallery is located beside St. Georges Park in an Art Deco house built in 1930’s.
Ron Belling was a 20th century aviation historian and painter from Port Elizabeth, specializing in aircraft camouflage. He also made oil paintings of passenger liners that visited Port Elizabeth. His library includes a collection of photographs, drawings and sketches of early buildings in Port Elizabeth, many of which have now been demolished.
