Chart Farm and Coffee Terrace
We shot Chart Rose Farm’s video profile over the weekend. It’s a divine coffee terrace and rose picking farm in Constantia, Cape Town. As the only place in the Cape Peninsula where you can select and pick your own roses, Chart Farm offers a unique experience for visitors. The Coffee Terrace serves teas, cakes, breakfasts and lunches. Along with the magnificent views of the Constantia Valley, it’s a great meeting place. Open daily from 9:00am – 4:30pm, the farm stall alongside the terrace offers fresh farm produce (in season), including lemons, limes, grapes, chestnuts and vegetables.

Charly’s Bakery
We recently shot at the famous Charly’s Bakery at 38 Canterbury Street in Cape Town. We enjoyed some great weather and awesome crowd shots of happy customers feasting their eyes on all the delicious treats!
Check out their awesome website here and join them on facebook here. Watch this space for their video, soon to be added to our YouTube Channel.
Located in District 6, Cape Town, Charly’s Bakery is a family run business which was begun by Charly and Jacqui Biess in 1989. It specialises in “Mucking Afazing” designer cakes for all occasions, as well as a range of fun and bright cupcakes, petit fours, cookies and other yummies.
Over the years the business has grown and their 3 daughters, Alexandra, Daniella and Roch have joined them in creating their crazy, magical, glitter-filled world of Oompa Loompas, Luf Luf and decadently Wicked Chocolate Cake.
Their philosophy is to innovate, not imitate, and that the more you give the more you’ll get ♥
Skybok at the Durban Travel Indaba!
A fresh hello as we plug in from the Durban ICC, home of the Tourism Indaba – Africa’s Top Travel Show! Skybok has enjoyed 2 full days of trade, networking and touring Durban as part of the media delegation for the convention.
We enjoyed meeting the Head of Durban Tourism, Phillip Sithole, and also the CEO of South African Tourism, Thulani Nzima.
A tour of the Inanda Heritage Route organized for media was most insightful as delegates explored famous spots as part of our country’s history.
These included the home of John Dube – founder and first president of the ANC – and the home of Ghandi when he lived in South Africa for 20 years in 1894 and where he founded the Natal Indian Congress to agitate for Indian rights.
Today is the last day of the convention and we aim to make the most of it, doing some film work in between discovering dynamic businesses in the trade. See all of our photos from the Indaba here and from the Media Beach Carnival (opening night) here.

Two Oceans Aquarium
This is Cape Town’s tourist gem, and it’s at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. It’s called “The Two Oceans Aquarium“. We had a great time filming it and we shot on a day when there was a school outing, which lent itself well to some lovely shots of the school tours. Enjoy their video profile and if you’re coming to South Africa any time soon, check out their website.

Groot Constantia
Ok so one of my favourite wine farms of all time is “Groot Constantia Wine Estate“. It’s located in the Constantia Valley in Cape Town, South Africa.
I like it so much that I requested it when I shot my Top Billing interview with Janez. – click HERE to read more about that interview and HERE to see the photos from it.
What a pleasure shooting Groot Constantia’s official video profile for Skybok. Here’s putting in a word for Grant Newton, its Marketing Director – absolute legend. The entire estate is a national heritage site and fully operational wine farm.
The shoot was smooth and the weather was perfect. Did you know that it’s one of Cape Town’s “Big 6″? – Fellow members are Table Mountain, The V&A Waterfront, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Gardens and Cape Point. It’s won over 36 gold medals over the last 10 years in various wine excellence competitions… Now that’s impressive!
Great place to have a function. Watch their video and see what all the fuss is about! For more photos Skybok took on the day, click HERE.
Caprice

Located along Victoria Road in trendy Camps Bay, Cape Town, lies perhaps one of the most famous beach bars in the city. “Café Caprice” is a stunning spot along the beachfront if you want a drink or meal with friends and colleagues.
Caprice has become a landmark establishment on the famous Camps Bay Stretch in Cape Town – a great venue to host any function you have in mind.
(Be warned, Sunday nights get very busy!) Tourists from around the globe rub shoulders with the regular local clientele, all enjoying the gorgeous beach backdrop whilst sipping on eye-catching cocktails and listening to sexy, chilled beats spun by the resident DJ’s as the sun goes down.
The ultimate beach bar and café on Cape Town’s famous Camps Bay stretch, it’s home to a cosmopolitan crowd of locals and internationals 7 days a week.
We were thrilled to shoot their video profile, and filmed it on a very festive, sunny Summer afternoon. Enjoy!
